Asked for special fried rice and they couldn't even get that right. Whoever gave these a good review did they pay you to do so?!

I’ve passed this place loads of times and always said we should try it. Eventually we got around to it.
The place itself is very reminiscent of Chinese restaurants in Hong Kong, a bit dingy and very “what do you want” service, but decent food and no-frills.
When we visited, they were getting orders from Just Eat at a rate of probably 1-2 a minute, so it was fairly busy.
We sat down, looked at the menu and picked some items. My wife ordered them and we paid. They didn’t have a couple of the things requested, but otherwise we got what we asked for.
Food took a while to arrive, but it was hot, reasonably tasty and as ordered. The lady serving food looked bewildered most of the time, so basically they were running beyond full tilt - more staff needed for peak times.
They only take cash, so be prepared to have a little walk to the bank machine if you don’t have enough money.
Basic restaurant (no frills at all), decent food, but obviously adjust your expectations about service if you’re going at a busy time. - Alexandra Zahran Review added: 2018.08.29★ ★ ★ ★ ★Great tasting food, friendly staff, and portions are huge! Have been a loyal customer at Mr Cook over the past 4 years and will continue to do so in the future. Most of the people order via Just Eat, but we prefer to eat in sometimes, and we love it - it's cozy, quiet, and nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
Whoever reads these Google reviews, please don't pay attention to people who gave it 1* as I can see they only created their accounts to underrate businesses. Hence why they have just 1 contribution.
